45 tonne beef seized by Gujarat Police, containers held at Navi Mumbai

3 days back 3 containers containing meat  more than 45 tonne is seized at Navsari, Gujarat. This consignement is meant for export and the exporters are misleading the police that the same is not beef.

Containers are held at Turbhe Police Station, Navi Mumbai even today as the meat in question be sent for forensic analysis but the Cold Storage is not ready to take the consignment on false grounds.

High Drama is happening at  Turbhe Police Station and the exporters are hiding themselves. Royal exporters and one another exporter is involved in beef exporter in the name of Buffalo meat. A case was filed in supreme court in Jan 2012 only against Royal Exports (Hapur, Haryana) but due unavailability of proper system of analysis of meat at FSL they are able to escape from punishment for illegal export of beef. To your surprise, last consignment of Royal Exports was containing 1 tonne of ‘tongs’ of innocent animals, the consignment is released to China.

Ahimsa Sangh urges all media persons and animal activists to reach the Turbhe Police Station and show the solidarity with our animal rights activists.
